Chaplain Advisory Council

The Chaplain Advisory Council assists the Chaplain Director in the selection of qualified candidates for chaplain service. Additionally, they advise the Chaplain Director on policy and operational issues and answer questions in their areas of expertise to chaplains in the field. The Chaplain Director appoints, with approval of the Responsible General Superintendent, all members of the Council. Appointments are made after the latest General Assembly and terms are four years in length. All major areas of chaplaincy are represented on the Council; and currently, council members have nearly 200 years of combined ministry experience.
