International Chaplains

The Church of the Nazarene is a global denomination and strongly believes in reaching people internationally, in real-life ministry, outside the walls of the church. Chaplains do ministry outside the mainstream of the church but remain connected to the denomination. Realizing how truly desperate people are for peace with God and a relationship with Him, they risk going into unknown territory to be Jesus to those incarcerated, in hospitals, laboring in the workplace, or in the military.

There are presently 18 Nazarene chaplains serving in 11 different countries: Argentina, Brazil, British West Indies, India, Liberia, Malawi, Northern Ireland, Papua New Guinea, Republic of South Africa, Scotland, and Zimbabwe.

Chaplaincy is one of the Church of the Nazarene's most vital and fruitful ministries. Chaplains can go places where no pastor or missionary could ever go. They have opportunities to witness and minister that no one else in the denomination will ever have. They take the church to people who will not go to church.

If you are serving as a Nazarene chaplain, either full-time or part-time, in a country outside the United States, we would be interested in including you in the Nazarene family of chaplains.
